If you've stumbled across this page, I'm sure you've got a number of questions. Questions like "Who is Yamara?" and "Is Yamara Japanese?"

Yamara is actually the name of a comic strip that was originally run in Dragon Magazine, a magazine specializing in role playing game rules and articles. Yamara is also the name of the main character in that strip, and she is a halfling thief, not Japanese. Yamara is the nickname I chose to go by on BBSes and the 'net some time around 1990 in an attempt to choose something that wasn't being used by someone else.

Having cleared that up, I'll continue about myself. My name is Marianne Waage. I graduated from University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Design and a minor in Computer Science. As a result I have a broad range of skills and interests including web page design, database design, network and web administration, logo design, and 3D graphics programming.

I'm currently staying in Davis, working part time for the UCDavis Mathematics department and finishing up various projects that I didn't have time for during school.
