I've done web and cgi programming for several widely varying projects over the last 6 years. I used JavaScript for standard mouseOver animations, with SHTML to create standard static templates to make web sites more maintainable. In conjunction with that, I wrote CGIs in C, Perl or bash to show random content or images based on page reloads.

More recently I've been using PHP for dynamic templates and navigation for several non-profit web sites as well as my own. At the UCDavis Math department, I used Zope, Python and MySQL to create an automatically updating navigation scheme, supporting dynamic content generated from databases. The databases are also updated via the same web site.
